DESCRIPTION:The line can be blurred between repairs and maintenance – and
  capital expenditure.  And the stakes can be high from a tax point of vie
 w with R&amp\;M typically being tax deductible – and capital expenditure
  at best being depreciable over a number of years.  And at worst\, not de
 preciable at all.\n\nThis event will be held at the Elevate CA Limited off
 ices 7:30am on Wednesday 17 August.  You can find us at level 4\, 35 R
 obert Street\, Whangarei.\nAt this Boardroom BOF event\, Fraser Hurrell wi
 ll explain the difference between R&amp\;M and capital expenditure – pa
 rticularly when exactly the same item of expenditure could fall into one c
 ategory or the other depending on the circumstance.  This event will hel
 p you to plan your business expenditure in the most tax efficient way – 
 without falling foul of the rules.  This will be a small group limited to
  eight business owners – so there will be plenty of opportunity to discu
 ss the challenges that are relevant to you. \nBoardroom BOF events run 
 from 7:30am to 9:00am in the Elevate CA boardroom.  Numbers are limited t
 o eight – and these events are for owners of businesses  that employ s
 taff and have a turnover of more than $1m pa.  Coffee\, juice and a ligh
 t breakfast will be served to help lubricate quality discussion – and as
