Armed with just a phone, we as consumers or businesses have an almost zero search cost in shopping around. There is very little case for loyalty to a brand that we perceive to be problematic – or not sufficiently grateful for our business. So as business owners, what to do?
The often sited solution is around some form of customer engagement. The idea that when customers interact and share in the experience we create for them, that will foster some level of loyalty above and beyond the simple transaction.
But how?
There is of course no single customer engagement method that works for every business – although the guiding principle ought to be genuine empathy, clarity, and simplicity in dealings with your customers. This will be the focus of the BOF event on 21 June – and on the panel will be two business owners who have taken this journey seriously and have some real insights to share. This will be a valuable session full of practical takeouts for you and your business.
And as usual, there will be pizza, wine and beer to lubricate quality discussion. And as always, no sales – just good practical content.
