SUMMARY:Duties & Risks of Being a Director
DESCRIPTION:We have all read the statistics around business failure in New
Zealand.  Business is risky - and being director of a company is risky bu
siness.  What are the main sources of risk inherent in acting as director
?  What exactly can go wrong?  What are the possible personal consequenc
es when things do go wrong?  How likely is it that the worst should happe
n to you personally as a director should the business fail?   How do you
manage and minimise those risks?\nThese are all questions that every dire
ctor should ask.  This event will explore these issues in a pragmatic way
of use to directors or owner managed companies.\n&nbsp\;\n\nAnd as usual
for a breakfast event\, there will be a light breakfast and refreshments
to lubricate quality discussion.  And as always\, no sales – just good
practical content.\n\nBusiness Owners Forums are held monthly – alternat
ing between Whangarei and North Harbour.  If you’d like to attend this
event\, just scroll down and hit the orange “Book Now!” button befor
 e this event fills up.
