SUMMARY:Disaster Proof your Business
DESCRIPTION:There's plenty that can go wrong in your business that would q
ualify for the title of "disaster" - whether on a large scale like earthq
uake\, fire or tsunami - or on a more personal level like major fraud\, ne
gligence\, PR misstep or the malicious action of someone close to your bus
iness.  Even in our small circle of 500 or so business clients\, maybe 1%
have experienced a disaster in the past five years.\nAfter disaster str
ikes\, the steps that could have been taken to mitigate the effects seem
obvious in hindsight.  Most businesses are genuinely ready to some exte
nt to roll with whatever might come their way - but are still very capabl
e of being caught off guard.  Sometimes the level of preparation comes do
wn to the extent to which the directors have actively considered the conse
quences of disaster - and other times to the cost of preparing for an even
tuality compared with the perceived risk.\nOur panel will discuss these is
sues and possibilities for management or mitigation – at BNZ Partners
 \, 330 Broadway\, Newmarket – 5:30pm for a 5:40pm start on Wednesday 15
November running through to 7:00pm.  And as usual\, there will be beer\,
wine and pizza to lubricate quality discussion.  And as always\, no sal
es – just good practical content.\n\nBusiness Owners Forums are held mon
thly – alternating between Whangarei\, Albany and Newmarket venues. Alth
ough no two Business Owners Forum events are the same\, this event will b
e more or less a repeat of the 19 October event in Albany.\n\nIf you’d
like to attend this event\, just leave your details below and hit the oran
ge “Book Now” button before this event fills up.  And if you’d lik
e to be included on the invite list for future events\, just hit the “Ho
me” tab at the top of this page – then scroll down to the Subscribe fo
 rm.
